This year\'s plans

I suggest an early season meet in Weymouth and a reapeat of the Cherbourg trip ..

???

Re: This year\'s plans

Seems sensible to me. Suggest the Cherbourg trip should be in mid to late September, when everybody has come back from other holidays, and on neaps rather than springs.

Also suggest a coastal trip like Weymouth should be about May - how about the first bank holiday weekend ??

Jim - if Corsair is not sold by then, we will be on for it. Making plans for non sale - have booked and paid for mooring in Poole for 2004. So I'll be quite happy if sale doesn't happen!

If sold by then - might want to hitch a ride with someone.

Re: This year\'s plans

can you not make it a condition of sale - v. small print eg "required one or two w/e tba"?

Re: This year\'s plans

Weymouth sounds cool, and we are also planning to do our first cross channel in Neraida with you lot.

What about some mini-meets (predominantly drinkinininge) in "local" areas?

Re: This year\'s plans

Anyone up for Weymouth with an overnighter in Lulworth if the weather is good.

Re: This year\'s plans

Now we've upgraded to a bigger boat we're up for some meets this year, and hopefully we'll be bringing her (the boat) over to Cherbourg! Keep me posted with dates. Look forward to seeing you again this summer TomE.

Re: This year\'s plans

I would suggest avoiding Bank Holidays. There tends to be other events/plans for long weekends.

Re: This year\'s plans

This years 'Mercury Meet' type event currently being planned, and dates likely to be one of the two weekends following the May Bank Holiday

Re: This year\'s plans

Lulworth's aweful if the weather's good. Too many boats for space. Try Worbarrow...you have choice of East or West depending on the wind. Or Chapmans if definately from the North or East. Neither any good if a pub essential though!

Re: This year\'s plans

Worbarrow may be shut depending on the range firing. The range only shuts down for the whole of August.

Looking at tides the w/e 26th June might be good for Weymouth?
