Left PH yesterday morning and, after being delayed at Old Windsor by a minor fire on a NB in the lock reached Cookham late afternoon.
River very quiet. Now at Marlow and passed Rebellion at Longridge - strange being waved at by a rowing coach !
Onwards to Henley for tonight methinks.

H,mm.No replies so far.Must be out of range of wireless wave thingies.Enjoy it while it lasts.
B1s idea of hell ?

Just arrived Goring and there's some blue sky and a little sunshine. Temp finally struggled to 18 C but chilly in the wind . Brief stop at Val Wyatts this morning and nice gent from Aquatec "burped" the shaft seals as starb'd one was whining. Wallingford tomorrow -probably wont be able to resist a brief stop at Sheridan Marine's chandlery - and then back to Ashmount Towers on Friday afternoon ready for the ODCC 60th weekend.
All go, isn't it !

Sheridan Marine's chandlery is the best. I need to go back and show them what I did with all the stuff I baught last year. I haven't been that far up yet.

I'm always getting waves from rowing coaches, a'la French archers and coffee adverts.

Rebellion is different to most... he is familiar with the handling of large cruisers having competed in several boat handling competitions and won the Cadet Cup at Bray & ATYC events.

He won't wave if you annoy him... grab you by the throat maybe, but not wave! :)

Now moored at Wallingford and sent crew off to Waitrose to get cake for tea . Wont be ppularxwhen sh gets back as its been p*ss*ng down! Weather today has been a bit of everything invluding sun, rain, hail, wind, warm(ish) and cold - must be in England !

Now moored at Asnmount Towers but what an atrocious day it has been! Not only periods of heavy rain but cold and extremely windy. Just 4 boats so far so will be interesting to see how many turn up tomorrow. Beginning to brighten up now and weatherman would gave us believe the next couple of days may be mildly pleasant - fingers crossed.
