I hope to be on Cobby Girl at CYC and maybe Mermaid quay this weekend. If there is any wind I may go out through the barrage for a sail. If anyone sees me please come and say hello.

We'll be down West, taking the Rib off the mooring and dropping it to the sea bed. Have a nice one, and I do want to have a look at your new pride and joy soon.

Ah. I see.
We take the Rib out of the water, take the head bouy off the mooring chain and drop the chain to the sea bed for the winter - it seems to wear less that way.
I suppose the Rib might wear less if we dropped that to the sea bed too, but we might struggle to start the engine in the spring.......

Yeah, we, will. I always hate taking the RIB out at the end of the season, as it usually means the end of summer. I'm hoping to do a fair bit of sailing this autumn, however, so I can spend a bit more time bobbing about this year, yet.
