Also, minor point, page 67, "How she will look, the plan for Catatonic", that image is lifted straight out of the Sealine Brochure !!! - are they really planning to turn it into an SC35 ?
The pricing of digital is still finding its feet, I must admit I thought single issues were cheaper than that and I will check but subscriptions are £29.99 and that has come down an awful lot since the start.
The thing you are paying for is the content regardless of how it gets to you, and I can see this one opening up a whole new can of worms but that is the strategy as it stands at present.
I thought half the content was nicked (OK you have the rights to it) from here!
Still think it should be priced at £2.50 for anElectronic copy! If it was I would buy one. These are tough times, the economy is dying, the credit market freezing so best to stay competitive!

I think that's not quite right Richard? With a paper mag the distributor's margin (Frontline, Seymour, and all that lot) is getting on for 50% of the cover price. So when you buy a paper mag from WH Smith you are definitely buying more than content. you are paying substnatially for how it got to you. Hence Magnum's comment that huis digital $8 issue cost more than a paper mag is quite apt.
Richard, I'm a digital subscriber but receive my digital copy, sometimes 10 days after the same issue is available on the newsstand. Last month I had to go through zinio who advised they were waiting for publisher permision to release the issue. I received it 3 days later which was 6 days after seeing it at WH Smith. I'm still waiting for March issue as I speak. With so called snail mail copies already delivered, the hare seems to be still asleep. What's going on with the digital highway?
I was seriously considering a digital subscription, However I think it may be wise to stick to the paper copy after reading stories like this. thanks for the tip off nemo!!
Hi there, I work with Richard and have specific responsibility for digital issues of the marine titles. I am concerned to hear that some of you have not yet received your March issue of MBY. This was distibuted to subscribers on Monday this week and single issues are available right now - please check your subscription status and if you still have a problem, get back in touch.
Having amended the annual price point of a digital subscription to the discounted price of £29.99 the single issues are following suit very soon.
Finally, one issue of MBY was distributed to a batch of subscribers late - about two issues ago. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to identify which subscribers received this late, but if you have been affected and would like to get in touch, I can arrange to extend each subscription by one month to compensate for the tardiness of what is usually a swift and speedy service. My e-mail address is jake_cassels@ipcmedia.com
Mine was downloaded no problems. As an aside am I the only one that buys both? I get the zino one cus I get it faster than our local WHS then go buy the hard copy to actually read it properly /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
To set the record straight, I've got my wires crossed. My subscription is to MBM, not MBY and so it's no wonder I've not yet received it as it's not yet poduced! Doh!.
Humble apologies for the bum steer above on the March issue of MBY. Conversing with Jake offline, he has confirmed past delays in digital delivery (MBY or MBM) but which are now hopefully resolved.
