The grey/silvery ones look like sea bream, apparently quite tasty.

They're very common in the Balearics, just throw a crisp overboard and there will be hundreds that appear within seconds

Sorry to be pedantic, but there is no such thing as a sea bass. It's just a bass. Unless it's a rock bass or a wide mouthed bass or a striped bass. If it's from UK waters it's just a bass!
I'll get my coat...
A striped bass if it’s the same as the ones in the fridge. From the Costa del Sol, I doubt they shipped it from UK

Years ago I was diving off Puerto del Carmen off the drop off which went down to about 3,000M there were enormous Grouper, Rays, Moray and a host of others. I was doing a bit of supervision for the little English dive centre there started by two ex navy guys by the name of Wright can't remember the name of the school but it was in decline sadly but incredibly well equipped with a darkroom even and a pot. Once I had sussed out the capabilities if they were OK I would take them to the drop off quite often at the end of the dive as they surfaced they would be surrounded by fish circling them. I used to take a loaf of bread and break it up in the water which ended up with dozens of fish around the divers.

First outing this year yesterday in the Solent, cracking sunny weather and sea state. Anyhow we had a go at fishing off Stokes Bay but nothing ! Probably 7 other boats fishing there as well. Would love to catch a Cod like ST840 posted.
