This has to be a bargain for a handy person.

Looks somewhat reminiscent of the Trident, but the transome doesn't match.

But something I would love to do as a retirement project, with enormous amounts of help from my sons /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

She is a Coronado 25.I have sailed on one belonging to a fellow Scuttlebutter a few times .

They have an enormous amount of space for a 25 footer and sail quite well. Could be an interesting project for the right person.

Re: So how much will a new mast cost.

To make it a financially viable project you would need to source one secondhand. I have seen masts on the for sale section of this forum before now.

The coronado also has a outboard well inside the lazarette locker at the back of the cockpit which could simplify a reengine job if needed.

Ill send a text to the Coronado owner I know see if we can get some input from him.

They are built in the USA (used to be built in Spain)

'Hole in the hull, port side' Hmm I guess it fell or was blown over. Bit too much for me to take on I think but a good buy for anyone capable.
Why don't they include a picture of the damage?

Looks like it might be a boatyard trying to minimize losses after allowing someone's pride and joy to fall over. It looks very tidy inside but as others have said the absence of a port side photo is worrying.

If anyone here is thinking of taking this on as a restoration project, please be aware that the damages sustained as a result of 'falling over' could be much more extensive than what might be initially apparent.

Caveat Emptor!

A similar situation happened to a pal of mine recently - boat fell over in the yard because they removed a prop from one side amidships in order to squeeze another boat in next door, and then they forgot to put the prop back.... yes, I know they should have had more props in the first place.....
On my pal's boat, the encapsulated keel was actually bent sideways as a result of falling over and landing on the turn of the bilge. All of the transverse floors stiffening the hull / keel connection were fractured, similarly the hull / bulkhead joints - he has a major re-build on his hands now.

Not a commercial proposition but ok if you wanted to have something to keep you busy for a long while and spend the money it would cost to buy one to go sailing in right away then end up with a boat that has been holed and repaired
