I know it’s the end of the season but the river is still good and there are some sunny days ... but the Forum seems to be full of “hogwash” instead of useful cruising tips, lock breakdowns and the inadequacy of the EA!
Maybe I’m just old fashioned?

I just ignore anything posted by that troll. Its a shame that it is almost ruining the forum, but I suppose people with mental health issues like hogwash have just as much right to post on here.

just ignore them

....like a passing comet , looks substantial but on closer examination not much there really , visable merely due to light from elsewhere.,fading quietly over time, only to vanish back from whence it came soon enough ? :):):)
Anybody remember Happy 1

My cruising is restricted to a four mile stretch of river and will last until my waste tank becomes as full of it as the subject in question.

I'm sure I'll.have lots of boaty related things to moan about soon, as dozens of bandits are stuck between the same two locks and as winter supplies run low, some will go foraging for diesel.

Swap the filler caps over.
Vetus anti tamper devices.

Yes, she's a new Boat to me but I really should. Someone on here had an excellent suggestion. Swap the stickers around that say diesel and pump out:D

Which is great until you forget that you did something clever recently but for the moment cannot remember what it was....still expect it will be fine :)

The forum consists, like life, of many differing kinds of people.

The political people: Mainly interested in self aggrandisement rather than actual boating. Tales of excitement at ATYC meetings, but nothing really about boating :disgust:

The Boaters: Easily recognisable as our Medway friends, and Upper Thames buddies, always posting about actual boating rather than fantasy. The mainstay of the forum really :encouragement:

The Entertainers: Harry Hogwash being the latest example! Always good to read, no issues, no agenda, just hard facts in an easy to read post. We also used to enjoy Apollo before some rather sinister forum cretin stalked him, although he will strenuously deny it....

The Lurkers: Many of you. Lazy, nothing-to-say none posters who just leach off the others.

The remainder: Just normal people posting stuff....

:nonchalance:
