This Doesn't Mean That I Swing That Way

Re: Italian families

Well, no, I didn't want to say that Italy has problems, though that's obviously true. Who doesn't?!...
I was just sincerely curious about how these opinions develop.
Funny how just a few days ago I read that we are considered "genetically criminal" by somebody.
Maybe you could send an e-mail with your experience to these inkslingers, Bill and Laurel Cooper...

Anyhow, considering that not only you feel homesick for Italy, but - as I read in your profile - wine is one of your hobbies, send me a PM anytime you will be around here, there are always a few bottles of barolo in my boat for knowledgeable guests... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Italian families

Ahem... don't know really /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
But I wouldn't ask a French "Êtes-vous Anglo-Saxon, Monsieur ?", either...

Re: Italian families

A post office! That's what we typically use as the cliché of the unfullfilling employment.
We recommend that to people who are not actually willing to work, but are just looking for a salary at the end of the month...

And the language, err...
Judging just from what I read in this thread, I doubt that the behaviour of his mother would have been different, even if you were Dante Alighieri.
It's a very superficial opinion of course - just by instinct. Take it for what is worth.

Ships Cat

How about this for a train of thought:

- You see true love only with Yoda (who's a cat)

- You love sailing

- So what you need is a ship's cat

- We've got one right here on this forum

JOHN? JOHN!

Here kitty kitty.

How about it John?

Re: Ships Cat

Well I have to say that both she and the yacht would both scrub up pretty nice - "a fair dinkum sheila" as my Oz cuzzies would say.

Now, there is an idea. Maria teaches English as a second language I think. She could move to Oz and fix them up - you know, fix up the "Giddaaay maayt. Go'in saaaylin'. Got me tinnies in the eski an' me sunnies, hope the noah's arks arrrn't 'round whennn I go fer ar paddill". And get herself a big strapping Oz lad on the side. Tho many are like her last one and tend to stay mummy's boys too - though are some even a cat can get along with.

Re: Ships Cat

Actually, I must say that his parents were nice. It's just that I couldn't be that happy with them onboard. This is why it's my fault. I felt stressed and took this out on the man I loved. It's as simple as that. I didn't know that I'd feel so odd and had I had the gift of foresight, I would have stayed off the boat until it could be christened with just the two of us on it. I actually suggested before we left for Mexico that I go off and do a Spanish course instead of being on the boat. I knew that I wouldn't feel free to enjoy the dream coming true with 4 on a boat, instead of a romantic two.
Oh, this is all such a big loss. I loved him so much.

Re: Ships Cat

Being on boats is all about being capable to share one's space and time while mantaining at athmosphere of cooperation. Whatever annoys or upsets should be left for later (land), as letting go too freely of one's emotions will in most cases end up with a mess for the ship's morale. Very different people can share a small boat in peace if they have a little common sense relating to the limited space and "freedom". Burtsting up and bitching will lead any boat nowhere.

Re: This Doesn\'t Mean That I Swing That Way

Its been 21 months since my wife and I separated and subsequently divorced, I still find myself caught out from time to time /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif but it does get better. Good friends always help.

Regards,
Jeff.

Re: This Doesn\'t Mean That I Swing That Way

How on earth are you going to cope with a crew of women you don't know at all? Or how will they cope with you if you are prone to sulking and bitching if you don't have your 'space'.

nope, still mad

ooh no, that's not an explanation. We now have to work out how the on earth they met as lovers if they don't speak the same language. However, it would seem that the japanese for "you've got lovely eyes " might easily sound exactly the same as the spanish mexican for "let's buy a half-finished concrete yacht immediately", dya think?

Re: Ships Cat

I have been married three times so my comments on your situation have very little value.... But I will take the opportunity to add a little joke (if I may without upsetting anyone)

The best relationships are between a deaf man and a blind woman.
Keep smiling, posting, and keep positive.
