This coming weekend

"Chelsea Harbour"

Do hope they remember to let you out again.
When we last stayed there,on the final day,we were all present and correct and singled up around 6am in the morning and wondering where everybody was.
Fortunately we had the mobile number of the lady harbourmaster who managed to rouse somebody who could work the lock and eject us into the Thames.

Up to Windsor with MTYC for the weekend, then the rest of the week pottering upstream, with no especial aim in mind, Sonning and maybe as far as Pangbourne. Depends on weather and motivation, SWMBO can't get the time off so I've a crew of three children to run.

Walton Bridge Cruiser Club are going down to Chelsea Harbour for the weekend. We should have seven boats, passing through Teddington Lock at about 1130 on Saturday and back around 1500 on Sunday.

Duly noted , many thanks !

Mechanical issues mean I am crewing from Chiswick to West India tomorrow rather than taking the boat.

Will be a nice change! May have a few drinks!!

Nine boats came in on the 1pm lock of the eighteen that are now expected, BW opened the bridge three times as arrivals were a bit staggered. I'm told this was not due to drink!!
BW staff were onhand to assisted with mooring and made everybody very welcome.

Now all the crews need is the weather to hold for the weekend and the service on Sunday.

It is the GYC visit to Church Island tonight - you were our guest last year. What with that and Leinster/Leicester late afternoon, I suspect tomorrow will be a slow day. Until the Monaco GP and the Indy 500 of course. Not much time for boating!
