Thinning Cruiser Uno antifoul

I've antifouled the hull apart from under the yacht supports which I have to move once the antifouling is dry. The remaining antifouling at the bottom of the tin is quite thick and I'm wondering whether it can/should be thinned. If so, I'd welcome advice on a suitable thinner.

Surely it tells you on the tin which thinners can be used? If not, look at the International website.

You could try warming it up. If you can put the bottom of the tin in a tub of boiling water it should help you to get those last few drops out.

I have used white spirit with all sorts of anti fouling and not had any problems.

Try a bit in a jar first if you need to be sure.

Thanks everyone. Tin's at boat and didn't find the data sheet on the WEB. I think that I shall warm the tin up which should give me enough to finish the job without resorting to buying some thinners no3.

If your boat is in a boatyard, remember most yards have a rule that boat supports are to be moved only by the yard, for safety reasons. Many boats have fallen over while supports were moved.

You wont need to thin it - the pads are not so large, there will be plenty in the bottom of the tin to cover what you need to cover

Job done. I'm always glad to get that out of the way for another season. Yes, there was enough AF in the bottom of the tin, although a bit thick. I have a spare pair of props which I secure firmly in place before I shift the existing ones. Seems safe enough although I am always anxious about doing it.
