Afternoon all,

Thinking of changing the current domestic bank of 5 x 102ah 12v gel batteries for 2 x 280ah ecoworthy 12v lifepo4 batteries. These are charged by either victron mppt solar controllers, via the mastervolt mass combi 100a shire charger (shore or generator) or via the dedicated alternator just for this bank that is controlled by a mastervolt alpha 3 regulator.

Am I correct in assuming that I should not need a DC to DC charger for the alternator side with the programmable alternator regulator?

It does say "suitable for Lithium ion" If that is the regulator you have. If in doubt contact Mastervolt and get it from the horses mouth.;)

If it's installed correctly and the temperature settings are programmed appropriately, no need for a DC-DC charger.
