Thinking about buying a 1976 Princess 32 with a single Volvo Penta KAD43

Both the engine and bathing platform are definitely retrofits. The KAD's weren't in production when the boat was built and if you zoom in on the photo you can see the shape of the hull with the overhang. Looks as though someone has gone to a lot of trouble to have it moulded.

After giving the Princess 32 a lot of thought I think i have concluded that I will look for a different boat. I like the P32 a lot, but I think I will focus my search on axle-boats rather than stern drive-boats. An axle boat will give me lower maintenance costs (tough probably higher fuel consumption), and reduce the risk of catastrophic (and hugely expensive) failures.
In addition, transporting the boat I linked to earlier from it's current location to where I am going to live will most likely push it out of my budget.
I'm moving down to Oslo in about two weeks and will probably be able to start the boat hunting for real about a week later. Hopefully there will be even more boats on the market by then. I will definitely go and have a look at that Apollo 32 if it's still on the market by then. It is out of my budget, but it's been for sale for about 5 weeks and if it's still around when I have moved, the seller might be open for a lower bid. Most of the other boats I am considering are significantly smaller (Polar 770, Marex 770 Holiday, Biam 800 etc), and (with the exception of the Polar) slower. Though these boats will probably suit me just fine, skipping over a few feet and getting a good boat at around the 30 feet mark would be great!
