A couple of years ago I saw a camel on a pontoon in Marina Smir. Then a couple of weeks ago, this black snake wriggled across in front of me in Sicily...it was at least a metre long. Posed nicely too!

Not really a marina I know, but this helicopter landed on the concrete quay at Agios Nikolaos on Zakynthos in August 2006. All the yachts moored alongside the quay were grit-blasted both as he landed and when he took off again.
We had all the hatches open when he landed and it took us several days to clean the grit and sand out of the interior. The hatches were well shut when he took off again though! Our yacht is the third mast from the right.
And this was just because two government deputies staying at a nearby hotel couldn't be bothered to wait for the ferry back to the mainland.
