Been to the factory today to see our new baby.
I was told that she comes out of the build sheds tomorrow.
That just leaves the radar arch to be fitted and then she's into the water for trials.
Everything seems to be going to plan - just need a good weather window in March and we should have her in the Hamble for Easter.
Here are a few sneak previews.

Very yummy indeed!! Is that going to be a bar on the stbd side of the saloon? Would look better with lager and bitter pumps there instead of the spray glue and bog paper! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Fantastic, don't know about you but I can't wait to see it! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Needs a 'ships' name though! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Fantastic she looks great, I hope you had a good visit took plenty of pictures (especially of cabin floor hatches), did you measure the fly bridge?
Seriously I picked up some info at LBS that may be of use for you, PM me with your e-mail address & I will forward it

Yup - a P67

We were going to settle for a used P61 but SWMBO preferred new and we have decided to splash out on the bigger boat.

I know you dont get the same value for money but ..... You only live once!!

Hi Jez

No - I dont think she will be ready for use for Easter but I do hope to get her into the Hamble by then. She has about 6 weeks of final fitting out/sea trials and all the new electronice to be fitted.

I'm going to have her completely wired with Cat6 cables. Also going to get low loss WiFi antenna installed plus full Satellite TV integration etc.
My intention is to integrate a Windows PC with the new G series displays allowing a mixture of raster charts from the PC system and vector navigation from the dedicated Raymarine kit.
Spoke to Raymarine at LIBS and they see this as a sophisticated example of the new G series installation.

Watch this space.

Nice pics and looking good Hurricane. Feel free to post plenty more /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Remind me, did you go for the MTU 1200's?

Mike,

I thought you said that you were keeping 'Jenny Wren' again, lovely as it may be, I think it's a bit saily boaty for a P67 ship.

Needs something imposing and in charge, like 'Commander'
NOT 'Breezy Moments' or 'Be-Bop-a-Lula'

Me thinks. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

As you said yourself Mike "things are progressing well".

She is looking good. You've lost me a bit about the electronics but I like your style about values - you only get one shot at life.

Keep the pics coming.

Boat name - what about "Space Shuttle" now that would raise a few eyebrows when heard over the VHF...

"Houston Houston Houston this is Space Shuttle " /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nop - JennyWren she will be.
I know its a bit saily boaty but so am I.
Anyway as before with the Sealine, the name has a special family meaning and SWMBO likes it.

Could keep the bird theme I supose - "the Eagle has Landed" etc.....

I'm sure there's a lot more "Rat-ribbing" (so to speak) to do yet!!!

Yep
MTU 1200s
They seem smaller and more appropriate - masses of space in the engine room.

The engine room was finished when we last visited in December - when nobody was looking I gave them a big hug!!!

Excellent choice. I would have chosen that option but our 67 was a bit too early. More compact than the MAN 1100's and a bit pokier too. Should be good for around 32-33 knots.
