The sun is shining

Only three more nights in the slave pit and freedom! (Albeit only for a week but hey ho)

Nice man knock at door and deliver big parcel of new sails

Nice man knock at door and deliver big tin of Jotun Seaqueen

Nice man knock at door and deliver "Crossing the Thames Estuary"

Not the fault of the nice men that I was at work all night and thus trying to bloody sleep!

(Shall now discover whether "Crossing the Thames Estuary" cures insomnia :D)

Expecting nice man to knock tomorrow with huge box of expensive bits from the chandlers

Lift back in booked for a week on Friday

I'm feeling rather cheerful despite the lack of sleep (Gentlemans Retail Therapy might be a factor here!!!)

Oh I don't think anyone has got past page 2 without falling asleep.

God Bless you Sir for your custom. I shall squander the income in advance tonight with an extra papadum! I'd like to get one for SWMBO as well but you only bought one copy!

My apologies to your dear lady (although one cannot help but ponder that a true gentleman would give his lady the papadum :)), unfortunately the rather strained boat budget, the subject of which is the current cause of my being somewhat in the dog house with MY dear lady*, wouldn't run to a copy for home AND a copy for the boat

Actually, it didn't work anyway 'cos I started working out plans and things and with all that going around in what passes for a brain in my head I couldn't get to bleedin' sleep!

Jesting apart, rather impressed - tricky subject difficult to present logically and most craftily dealt with I must say

* The village being disturbed quite recently by a strident cry of "HOW ****ING MUCH????" when she clapped eyes upon the latest boat bills :O

I have found over many many years, "It`s better to beg forgiveness than seek permission"

Other half has long since stopped asking questions about the boat budget as my usual reply was along the lines of 'Ask me no questions and I will tell you no lies'.

Seperate bank accounts also help. :p

Even the IMF wouldn't ask you questions about your boat budget!
