They\'re aving a larf

Just got MBY March issue page 66 refers. Now come on how many of you are gonna join me tossing away my old useless hose, rushing out and buying one
of these? I mean I know boating is expensive but £637 for a godamn hose? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That would fill my tanks four plus times.

I saw that and thought I'd entered a parallel universe, is anybody really going to pay that?

If they do I've got a prime quality watering can that I could sell 'em. It's made out of marine grade pvc - form an orderly queue please.

The system these people make, permenantly installed, to retrieve a power cable costs thousands and takes up a significant amount of room in the lazarette. Popular in the US. but in my view a crazy, expensive gimick.

Re: They\'re aving a larf

Actually damned handy. We bought one last year, and it's proved its worth over and over. Ours is permanently plumbed in to the water tank, and can be easily unrolled to the nearest tap, and stows beautifully.

Not only is it handy in places like Cherbourg with no hoses on the pontoon, but it solves the worry of wondering if the last user cleaned their holding tank with it, or if it's been lying in the marina for a week.

We had a specially made stainless roller fairlead fitted in the port quarter, so we can get the hose out without opening the lazaret. I've spoken to Sealine, and they say that they will be fitting them as standard from later this year, with an option on gold plated fittings.
