Thermostatic Shower Mixer Bar: suddenly can't get hot enough?

I bought a relatively cheap Thermostatic Shower Mixer Bar that looks a bit like this one:

It has worked fine for a couple of years of intermittent use, but on this trip I discovered that it can no longer get hot enough, even with the control turned past the safety stop, which was where I normally left it. The temperature varies OK, but is limited to luke warm.

If it makes a difference, mine is rotated 90 degrees ACW.

Any tips for fixing it?

If you have not altered your plumbing since you last used it and you actually have hot water available, it may have packed up, it may be worth checking your hot water is not too hot as there may be a max inlet temp on the hot side

Could be a problem with the mixer cartridge, possible limescale build-up, possibly it's had it. Cartridges are often replaceable/fixable. Several youtube vids show how.

There may be a small mesh filter on the inlet connection. I had the same issue with a Mira shower and cleaning the filters helped.

I think I threw the filters away, but worth checking, thanks. Will also try some Viakal squirted up the inlet.

Can I suggest moving the temperature control knob from full hot to full cold a few times whilst the shower is running. The thermostatic cartridge can sometimes become stuck in one position by scale build-up (particularly if the setting is left in one position). Ideally this should be done once a month to keep all free & running sweet
