There I was on the boat when......

the mobile rang...

"Yacht haven here sir... we would like to move your boat to another finger"....
" Ok no sweat, but why??"
" Well (Long pause) We've been told your mast is obscuring the leading lights into Lymington and the ferry people want us to move you!!!"

It's beyond belief, but after a bit I realised they were not winding me up...
Was a bit pushed for time and it was blowing so they're going to move the old girl on Monday...

Warning.... Don't go to, or come back from, Yarmouth by ferry this weekend after dark!!!

Looked in Reeds and sure enough the 319deg 30min line goes straight through berth O 40 so now I'll be on 42.

Since last November...
I thought ( wrongly) that after 'uggering up my bad leg last summer I'd get some winter sailing in....
Back to Christchurch, weather permitting am Wednesday 21st.
