Just done a European search for major UK brands models for sale.

Broom 98
Birchwood 121
Sealine 1,018
Princess 1,504
Sunseeker 1,717
Fairline 1,777

I am amazed!!!! That is a lot of boats on the Market...

Here are a few Euro boats,

Sessa 212
Cranchi 645

So....if you want individuality, buy a Sessa or a Broom and avoid that common fairline!!!!!

Seriously, anyone thinking this downturn will not affect boat prices just take alook at the amount of boats for sale across Europe.

This xmas is the time to treat yourselves!!

Re: Don\'t worry, ...

Ah if that were so.

Usual trick between the med dealers, some of those are the same boat listed with the three or four main dealers. A few are 2009 new builds so not even physical yet and a few are ghost boats, you know the story... 'we just sold that one but we can get you another pdq'....

Just checked , actual physical boats available Euro wide are

3 X 56's

2 X 52's

2 X 47's

5 X 45's

4 X 41's

4 X 39's

And that's about it Europe wide, four of the above are physical here in the UK .

Re: Don\'t worry, ...

Are you sure?
here are nine 39s (not including 2 at Inwards) and here is a general Absolute listing - all from only one Italian website. I haven't checked them, but from past experience Mondial covers only Italy for Absolutes.

here are 19 x 41s and if only one per model year were unique, you would be too low without the one at Inwards.

Re: Don\'t worry, ...

Some are double and even treble listings, Italians are famous for it, they'll nick your brokerage off you as soon as look at you. I ve had what were supposed to be our boats 'exclusive' on brokerage or even ones we actually own to find them all over the place, even down to knicking the same pics of our boats at hamble.

Some I grant are probably non ABS dealers so I don't have access to those but even allowing 50% more that still leaves a very small number for sale.

The cheeky so and so's even list boats that are not expected to be delivered until mid 2009!

Re: Don\'t worry, ...

Yep, it's common. When I was looking for current boat I rang a couple of brokers advertising the right boat, but it became apparrent they were only going to ring the real broker wot the seller had appointed and try to negotiate some of the commission. Problem is, if there's 3 adverts for the same boat, how do you know which is the real broker. Once I knew the problem I sent e-mails to all 3 at the same time, then the dodgy brokers can't claim to have made the introduction.
