Well, it's not as if I don't have enough unfinished projects and yet it seems I can't help but bite off another one... :ambivalence:

An opportunity arose that seemed too good to miss, so with one long term rebuild ongoing (http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?285958) and a first boat that seems to need almost as much attention, I trekked up to Nottingham on Saturday to collect Fletcher #3... :o

For the like minded anoraks out there, she's a 1992 Fletcher ArrowSport Bravo - 15'9". The complete original BlackMax package with trailer and Mercury 90hp - the trailer had new axle, hubs & brakes last year.

Although hardly used for the last 18 months, this one doesn't actually need a lot more than a good clean, service and a a few little jobs doing (hopefully). I need to fix the back seat base, a lack of trim down action, flush fuel tank, replace fuel lines and service. Parts ordered tonight and a day free on Sunday, so we'll hopefully be out for a test run in just over a week and once I've fitted plotter and VHF, we'll plan some longer shake downs and a couple of trips over Easter!

Pit stop on the 225 mile voyage home...

Boats are never that Rob, but I suppose if you get delayed with you project boat at least you have a Contingency.:encouragement:

Yes, we thought that was apt too! We got her as a contingency for the rally in may - before we knew her name! Some thing's are fate it seems :D

hahaha, love it... nothing wrong with a bit of compulsive buying :)

Quite agree - I've always researched and over analysed stuff and occasionally you have to take a risk. The boat was well priced at £1500 and I'd have spent that getting a decent motor for the 14'.

I've dropped the rear seat off to a local guy - £100 to recover - and planning a service at the weekend. Ordered impeller, plugs, new fuel lines and a trim ram seal kit. She trims up but not down and leaks a little so need to investigate switch & wiring. I've run her briefly off a clean fuel tank, but onboard needs a good clean & new lines.

She has a Garmin fish finder, but I need to decide whether to replace with my Lowrance plotter which would mean changing the transom transducer or using both and use the Lowrance for just charts/GPS... Also need to either reset my VHF or get new and install - have sorted new MMSI and updated SSR so could be on the water next weekend if I get my act together on the service and the weather plays ball...
