Hi all - first post but a long time lurker 
Can anyone confirm/ deny the rumours of a boat set on fire and let loose at Platts Eyot in the last few days? The story is that the lady owner rushed to her mooring when notified, suffered a heart attack and subsequently died. I hope this is not true.
From the same source on the island, it seems a generator was stolen off a boat moored at Platts this Monday and 10 boats moored outside houses further upstream were boarded and anything not locked down stolen. Sorry I don't know how far upstream...
These reports are from someone who has been working on their boat the last few days on Platts so it may be he's well informed and the stories true...anyone know if that is the case?
