What has happened to one of my favourite watering holes!

Went for a meal on Saturday night. Tally was one haggis with lump of sharp glass in it, one 1/4 cooked burger, two beef stew type dishes with 50% inedible 'meat'.
To be fair they didn't charge us for it but the place used to provide decent grub at a reasonable price so what has gone wrong?
Seems the latest owners have lost the plot and judging by how quiet it was later on word is getting around.

Given up on the Vic. We now eat in the Anchor - note not the Anchorage.

Last time in the Anchor had venison fillets in berry sauce - magnificent!

Don't bother with the Oily Frigate either - last time I was there they tried to serve our beer in plastic glasses. When asked why we were being discriminated against (everyone else in the place had proper glasses) we were told that all those people had brought their own glasses with them! The implication being that we couldn't be trusted not to nick their stuff, even though we had small children with us and had just ordered food.

Needless to say we cancelled our order and left. Later we found out the name of the owner and wrote inviting his comments. There was no reply.
