Anyone know anything about these boats? I was down with Ellesar today and these boats have been in the water for ages tied up together. Now out of the water and on the ahrd they look a bit sorry for themselves.

Both still have the boat show offer syickers on the transom, and they are both going very green, with shot annodes (and one boat looking like it has very pitted IPS props and pods).

No for sale signs on them and no obvious repo marks either. Anyone know if they are bank owned, privatly owned or what? Maybe there is a bargain to be had, I know they have been sat for ages in the water and the hulls arent even antifouled....

Hi, i think those two boats were on the hard in cobbs for most of last year!!regards mm1.

If i'm thinking of the right boats (Australian?) the new prices were just too high, so i'm not too surprised they haven't sold. Probably solidly built for Aussie conditions though.

Nothing more forlorn than an unkept boat, doesn't matter which breed.

Mustang, as boat builders were going gang-busters down here, until the then management tried moving the moulds offshore to Asia a couple of years ago, to improve their profitability. The financiers wouldn't have it, and it all got very messy. The moulds never left the country, and the brand is back kicking goals again.

I guess it would be like Fairline getting themselves into trouble with a bad business descision, the boats are still great, but the press is not.

Don't know about the two sports boat over there, but if you could get any of them at a reasonable price, you wouldn't regret it. The boats have been built, and operated in this country for decades.

I do know that the original Mustang importer went tits up because they owed a friend's company some money which he didn't get of course. So maybe the boats are owned by the receiver or a finance co. I think Mustang reappeared at last year's SIBS with a different importer
