Very nice photos Firefly , that must have been a good spring tide at Hurst spit .
BTW how did you manage to get the geese to wait for that powerboat ?

Wow, the pictures say it all really

If a picture tells a thousand words then I guess 20 pictures saved a lot of typing ;)

SeaBird is a fine looking craft sir :encouragement:

Fantastic pics of what look to have been fantastic times onboard! Really enjoyed them.

What sort of a jellyfish is that btw? Is it harmful?

I was hoping someone would identify, not the first time I have seen them around, but the relatively warm water temperature this year has i believe really helped increase numbers. I think I brushed past one when swimming and received what felt like a pretty mild sting, rather like a nettle sting.

Seconded 100%.
And that Amelia thing isn't too shabby, either! :)
Thanks for sharing some great boating moments with us.
In what sort of water temperature were you swimming?

Looks like a compass jellyfish.

MCS have a good identification card: http://www.mcsuk.org/downloads/wildlife/Jellyfishguide.pdf

My submersible VHF which has a temperature gauge showed a dizzy height of 22....I know M, don't rub it in I am aware that's about winter temperature in the med! Hence I tend to swim in a wetsuit.
