Does anyone know what the Solent/Hamble is likely to be full of tomorrow (Monday)? With half term I was considering treating the kids (including me) to a gentle trip up the Hamble for lunch at a pub. Will the water be full of trees, containers, dead frigates etc. or should I not risk the outdrive and repair the fence at home?

Don't bother replacing fence tomorrow as all builders merchants will be sold out , or charging double for fence panels.

We work out how windy round here by No of missing panels.
This was a one panel storm.

B.....y hell where did all that wash come from.
Er looks like a B....m to me.

Barn roof, several trees, greenhouse glass, loosened mooring post, damaged Jag.

I can now answer my own question.

The Solent and the Hamble were clear apart from a couple of 25 litre oil drums and the odd small branch.

I'm glad we went because the weather was great as was the trip. Why have so many put their boats away for the winter?

'cos their wimps. Only don't forget your waders if your trailing. Like I did on the weekend of the Wareham trip. Easy off, drive it. Putting it back on, Barry in his skids upto his armpits in freezing cold Frome!! Soon wakes you up and cures "thick 'eds"
