went up a hill yesterday to a viewpont overlooking Port Philip which is the harbour of Melbourne. an enclosed bay around 25 miles diameter, i.e. upwards of 400 square miles of sheltered water. the temperature was 25 degrees and it was blowing F2-3.

Hi, good to see Melbourne has got some weather you can walk round in let alone go sailing in. Now if you moved to Queensland you could go out every day. What you forgot to tell our mates in sunny England was that the reason people don't go sailing in Melbourne even when the sun is out is that you can have four seasons in one day (including snow!!) so they're scared to risk it. I know, I used to live there.

Anyway, I'm glad there's two of us on this forum as we seem to be a minority. Happy sailing, Dave.
