...long live the SC35!

Looks like Sealine are sticking with the edgy design style - question is will there be an open model. AT £175k for the basic boat, it will be closer to £200k if the option list mirrors the current S34.

I rather like it, better proportioned than the SC29.

Looks better to my eyes too; I think because the hard top is black and the hull a nice simple white rather than six shades of blue. A fair bit pricier than the Monte Carlo by the looks if it.

Looks good. They are finally taking the advice given to them on this forum for the last 5 years or so - get rid of the hull knuckle, blobby shapes, aluminium cleats/windows and swoop down hull-deck joint on the rear quarter :),

looks like a reason in 2000 or so Lego hit so much trouble.
Maybe they sold their design software to Sealine.
Rubbish,

You don't see many artists impressions that look terrible, but you see plenty of buildings, cars and boats that do. On that basis i'll reserve judgement.

OK,

Well on Paper I think it looks better than the SC29 and SC38! Interesting that they are keeping in that segment of the Market, when others like Fairline pulled out. Lot of stiff competition in the 11m HT arena, and as we know there prices are on the high side!

Still, I am looking forward to seeing her...as long as that dopey designer who did the SC38 at Excel is nowhere to be seen!

Cheers

Strange how so many say how they hate the SC29....and love the S29.....

but the figures dont agree with that at all.

last week I met someone who had just taken delivery of their S29....it was a Peters stock boat with Hull No 25.
They had been considering the SC29 and would have had Hull No 91.

So it seems the reviled SC is much more popular than the soft top S version.

There is also still a rumour that the S will be dropped from the range as sales have been so poor......I wonder what that would do to second hand values of the soft top?

Well tis my oppinion (for what its worth) that the hard top looks hideous and just does not work with the "lines" of the boat. It appears to me to look like some sort of bolt on after thought. I do like the idea of a hard top but one that looks correct. IMO of course...

You cant think this looks right ??????

I think its almost impossible to make a hardtop of this type look good on a sub 40 foot boat. The supporting frame is just too tall for the length of the boat. No-one wants to fanny around with covers and press studs anymore, so its time for one of the builders to come up with a clever mechanism that lifts and lowers the frame as well as the cover, sort of like the convertible cars only less complex.

well hold on minute, the aluminium frames just aren't shown on the schematic, the portholes look standard not-quite-any-shape sealine and i am pretty certain the cleats seem to be caravannish I- Can't-Believe-It's-Metal alloy too.

I did mention this at an exhibition once and the md chap was aghast, and reponded that all their clients were very *pleased* about the chunky cleats and wouldn't accept that they looked a bit rubbish in the least. I also thought that the sales team in light blue shirts looked as though they worked part time in the local priz, but didn't bother to say so...
