Some lowlife stole my tender from MTYC some time between Wednesday lunchtime and this morning. Grey Quicksilver airdeck with a single white davit patch in the bow, in case anyone sees it. Transom repainted as near a match as I could manage, named Padawan in red Star Wars font lettering. Off to Kent boat jumble tomorrow mornoing as a long shot. Shows the real value of a good lock is less than you thought:-(

At least I might get a few bob on the insurance.

Rgrettably no CCTV, supposedly upcoming but not yet.

Of course the thing isn't worth much, and claming on insurance is a bit futile, byt the time you knock off excess and take into account increased premiums you are left still running a loss. Made it my business to visit Kent Boat Jumble Sunday morning, "just in case" and merely got cold. Can't justify shelling out for a replacement at the moment as have some house bits to do.

Naturally next weekend, post Haul Out Supper was when I would have deflated it and taken it home.

And it was locked up? As a victim of theft myself, my sympathies to you. Has made me very security conscious. Don't remember tender theft being much of a problem back in the early eighties when I was sailing the south coast with my step dad. Maybe we were lucky, but I suspect that things are worse than they used to be. Good luck with sourcing a replacement.

Police statistics would indicate the scrotes will return at least once in the next 3 weeks.

A mate of mine had his work shop broken into 3 times in 5 weeks, he was not too bothered till the mongrels lifted his lap top and shot gun.

Good luck.:)
