The Sands of Iwo Jima? Nah mate! Blimmin' CORFU!

We woke this morning to the largest covering of sand all over the boat for many years. My wife spent all of yesterday polishing the smooth bits of the coach roof and now it looks like the bonnet of the ambulance in "Ice Cold in Alex". The locals say it's Ghadaffi's revenge.

It happens even more frequently in Malta and the locals say the same thing.
Was Corfu settled by the Maltese?

A few days ago the on the Times of Malta webcam it was difficult to make out the other side of Grand Harbour with so much sand in the air.

If it does not rain, there is no prob. The Skonis (sand in the air) should stop when the wind has no South in it. I have cleaned our pad and railings several times, plus the car and twist and go, it only needs 1 minute of rain to get sand spots everywhere, it has to be done again! grrrr.

Last weeks was worse than yesterday, it was just like washing mud off the decks, bloody awful and daren't touch the rails with a sponge until well hosed down as its as abrasive as grinding paste, beware!
