having finally got the trim tabs sorted, I decided to take the boat for a test run. Tried to lower the leg .. NOTHING

the leg tries to lift OK but will not lower.

Help please before i chew my arm off /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

sounds like an electrical problem. whilst fixing the trim tabs have you loosened/disconnected any wires/relays associated with the electric pump that that lifts the legs up and down???
try swapping the relays over at the pump too incase the down control one is goosed. failing all that work your way back through the wiring loom to the leg trim switch.

I have this from time to time and in my case it is a stuck switch or relay on the top of the leg inside the boat. (brown plastic/bakelite looking unit)
The leg will lift but not lower until this switch is released.

I use a broomhandle very gently like a snooker cue and give the top of the leg a few taps .. which releases the switch and allows the leg to power itself down.
