Frustrated by trying to beat through the Kyles? Don't despair! Pick up one of the (free) moorings off the hotel and use their super (but rickety) new dinghy pontoon.

Venison supplied by Winston Churchill - local
Seafood by Arthur Keith - local
or just sit and have one of their delicious desserts and watch the other boats trying to get through with winds that can revolve through 360 due to the hills.

Will be back there sooner....

Sorry to disagree. We spent an unhappy couple of hours trying to get a bar meal one Saturday.
Offhand service, cold food, ridiculous portions and poor value for money.

We'll suffer the flukey winds a bit longer.

P.S. If more than 4 or 5 on the dinghy landing stage - wear your wellies!

Used the restaurant (the bar/brasserie looked dire). Best food we had in West Scotland and the Western Isles - also by far the most Expensive.
