The rescue of the 'Bonita' 30 years ago today

Listening to 'Midweek' on R4 there was an article on this; this rescue occurred a week before the Penlee disaster, but no-one died(at the time anyway) so it got forgotten.

I remember only too well the Penlee disaster, but , as people are saying, this Bonita disaster is not one I recall. The video is one that had me glued to my chair. Nerves of steel is what those RNLI guys have, all of them!

Wow! Full respect to the lifeboat crew. The crew being rescued showed some pluck too.
