Spent a pleasant weekend doing my bit for global warming.Sunday was spent on the boat but Saturday involved a trip to Belguim to visit an WW 1 airfield museum celebrating the Red baron.Where he made his final and terminal last landing actually.Fascinating place stuffed with buckled bits of unidentifiable aeroplane.
For the flyers among you we went in this aeroplane .Anybody want to guess what it is.

axshually its a Cozy.

And it can take up to three peeps, but not in UK.
Wonderful channel crossing from Lydd via Dover to Calais( about 15 mins)then right a bit into Belgium.Sea looked very very calm.Lots of ferries and Seacat whizzing about.Seabed off of french coast is impossible to see due to masses of silt clogging up water.Nice views of various ways into canal systems along coast.
Horrid pollution haze clag on way back took ages to climb up on top to be able to see anything coming.

Bugger, didn't look like it was from that angle.
Nice aircraft, who does it belong to? I'd love to build something like that for the pure joy of doing it.

PS, thought the Cozy was a 4 seater?

Blimming Thames......Mention it not.

Bet that river of yours is full of bits from innocent foreign boats lured into coming a cropper on the rocky foreshores,by unemployed ex cornish wreckers who have moved up to the capital for richer pickings.

Re: axshually its a Cozy.

Chap who owns it has built several Rutan designs, this being the latest. As a PFA inspector he has been involved with assisting loads of would be builders get their composite projects into the sky over the years.
Cozy is licensed for 4 in US but not over here. With two peeps and 150HP lycoming, will cruise nicely at 145 knots.Dream to fly, just trim and point.
