<font color=blue>Hi, all
Just a note on the project as not had time to write ,with new job and smashing up boats with sign posts ect(yes i,ve got to repair that one as well!0,and a new addition to the household in the form of a now 8week old golden lab, name Connie.
The project has moved on in as much that new engine bearers have been fitted ,engine is mouted on 1\4 inch steel x3inch plate whicch is attached to the new bearers, the engine has been lined up with the outdrive and the "cus"drive fitted. The outdrive unit was found to have a noisey bearing on the driveshaft so both have been changed. All the hoses have been removed from the engine and the heat exchanger stripped for inspection...in superb condition ,original grease still intact so it fell apart.the raw water pump has been removed ready for fitting of new timing /cam belt.
A new exhaust system has been ordered ,as there is only 8inches from the back of the exhaust elbow to the transom board the exhaust will have to do a 180degree turn to accomoadate the Quietlife silencer and exit through the transom above the waterline(that,s two 180,s).
The raw water system is on the agender next week,i have a 1 1/2 inch scoop fitting to fit ....q?..this has a brass large washer that came with the fitting does this washer go skin side of the hull so the scoop is not flush with the hull ..or does the scoop sit flush on the hull??.
That,s all i can think of at moment...will post some new pics shortly when digi camara borrowed.
Hope youre all ok on South coast we got 65mph winds only so not so bad.
yours,
T.b

Use just enough sealant! You may need to remove it at some time, try not to get much sealant on the threads. It does fit flush. Can I look after the retriever, please? Are you thinking about using silicon hoses? I would, they are much longer lasting than normal ones and stay flexible, also look good. Thanks for the update, you're moving along a pace aren't you!
