Hi all
work has progressed this weekend as not been out on Charlie Girl.
Basicly the new transom board has been made, from three 16mm plywood boards epoxed together and epoxed to the outer skin of transom, this has been backed up with two right angled brackets made of hot dipped galvanised steel 10mm thick and bolted to the existing transom supports. There are also 4no. coach bolts screwed from the original support into the new board to spread the load.Holes have been cut for the outdrive ready for bolting up.
The top half of the hull repair has been finished leaving the bottom to be ground out and a tapered repair pactch added.
The out drive has been split to replace the rubber boots and aid the transom mouting.
The engine flywheel has been removed and taken to the machine shop to have a 1/4 inch plate made to carry the "cussdrive" spline and to make the flywheel heavy to bring down ticover speed a touch for easier gear selection.
They say a picture paints a thousand words(yukkk) so theres more pictures on the site.
Ive got a stainless steel tank with a home made gauge ,its new but i can,t use it ..any offers???
That,s enough for now more when ,more news
regards,
T.b.
