The Port Inn at Port Banatyne Bute a lovely little pub and they do filled bagettes filling of your choice £2 only real value for money. You can drop your hook in the bay 50-100 yds from their door.

Is that the same place the is the 'Russian' restaurant?

Ate there a couple of times. Magnificent food.

It's the little pub 50yds along the street, just under new management and they are really trying to make ago of it. They told me they are hoping to extend their menu soon not to compete with the Royal Hotel but to fill the gap between the Royal and the Anchor (no food).
Agree the food in the Royal is good but expensive.
