Just want to share a little lighting install. I'm very sensitive to lighting moods. At the bottom of my list are the cold neon lights, :disgust:. Although LED techno is moving fast the kelvin ratings of strips and other are not there, if you can't change the color.
So I swapped most of the existing strips and some lights for some philips hue and it's been great:
- Strips, Go, Iris, Bloom can all be connected straight to 12V, with a step up to 24 for Go and for the new lightstrips I think. I've got the old ones that are 12V.
- Base Station is Micro Usb so no problem.
- The base station does require Ethernet so I'm using this very small TPLink 3020 which has an Ethernet port and also a USB 3G/4G dongle port, also Micro Usb
- I'm also using the Hue Tap switch which you can stick anywhere.
- Great are the Hue Gos because they have an internal battery so you can move them around the boat, they are great at night on the outside areas.
