Arrived @ Port Hamble on Friday with lots of storm warnings from the Ragnstick brigade and sure enough on Saturday morning the heavens opened with Thunder and Lightening.

Come 10.30 the sky's cleared and perfect MoBo weather followed, very light winds and temperatures that felt very much like the Med.

Cast off from the Hamble after an almighty Pizza from Bannana Wharf (note to self, in future share a Pizza between 2)

Was perused by the Plod on the way out, honestly I was doing 6 knts lol

A lovely bimble down West Solent with much joy as our ageing Auto pilot decided to start working again

Had to Raft in Yarmouth but no problem as we went alongside a ruddy great Hardy, there were 2 others rafted in fron of us so not sure if there was a rally?

Hopped into the tender with SWMBO and the dogs and went to a little beach on the other side of the harbour with a bottle of wine and 2 plastic beakers (classy)

After the second bottle of Rose I decided the sea wasn't really that cold and much to Alison's embarrassment stripped off to me pants and made a somewhat rubbish dive into the briny. In an instant things began to shrink and I very quickly realised that the water was in fact bloomin freezing. Luckily the sun was still shinning so dried quickly lol.

We then had the most wonderful display by the Red Arrows, they started in Lymington before moving the display over to Yarmouth with lots of inverted fly pasts over the beach.

SWMBO walked the dogs back to Yarmouth while I took the tender, a quick change then out to dinner in the George Hotel Garden, fantastic views but boy was that an expensive evening!

Wonderful sunset, hard to beat this view.

Had a nice blat back Sunday morning and couldn't face the journey back to Bristol so decided to spend the afternoon and evening on the boat

A stupid O Clock start this morning (4.30) to get back to Bristol and then out to work.

Hope everyone else had a nice weekend as well

Excellent. Good old Tom.
Our visit to Yarmouth last week introduced us to the indian next to the ferry terminal. Dont know how new it is or if its been mentioned here before, but I thought it rather good. The usual anglo-indian dishes in an apology box at the back of the menu, always a good sign.

If you like the Bugle worth getting their loyalty card £5 up front that is added as credit, then 10% added from everything you spend, and can be used in the boathouse at Swanwick too. Can only be spent Monday to Thursday but still worth it.

Banana Wharf also offer a free loyalty card just ask at the bar.

NB Bugle Hamble that is !
