I see Motor boat and Yachting is stating the broads speed limit is 7 knots..
Apart from the fact all broads speed limits are in MPH.
Through towns , moorings, and environmentally sensitive areas it's 4 mph,
Through less sensitive areas it's 5 mph, through safe areas it's at most 6mph.
The only exception available to everyone is Breydon water where there is no speed limit, BUT you must not disturb other boats with your wash. Broads boats don't have guard rails or gimbles on cookers, nor hand holds inside the boats, you could easily knock over a kettle of hot water over someone .
