The Nigerians are becoming more inventive

Like everybody else I'm used to getting the run of the mill email & text requests from the best friend of the Nigerian finance minister etc. Have even had a few texts but yesterday I had my first Skype chat message.

Instantly recognisable as a con but definitely a new medium by which to try and get at our money!

I've just started to get spam from an address which is actually my e-mail address, how do they do that?
It means I can't report it as spam (on AOL)

It's called spoofing DavidJ. If you look at the headers of the email you'll see where it really came from.

Indeed they are, even got one recently from the "Nigerian authorities" apologising
for all these Nigerian scams, and offering compensation for the victims. Apparantly I was one and all I had to do to claim the money was.................... yes you've guessed it................ They should all be shot at birth IMHO
