Maidstone River Festival.....always a decent firework display.

Prom Concert At Rochester Castle.Usual Boring classical stuff from people who died years ago and should have been forgotton but Fireworks excellent.

Hey, I've told you before.... keep quiet or those Thames lock loving / boat handling gaming /etc types will be invading our River!!
Where's the best place to drop the hook and watch the barge match?

Interested to know a bit more about the river festival. Was there some talk of fencing it off a few years ago?

The Barge Drift as it is better known,starts off the Bulls Nose and depending on the the wind either goes all thye way out to No1 bouy or if not much happens gets curtailed around Sheerness so that everyone is back in time for tea.We sort of watch the start, nip into Stangate for lunch and catch up with them again around the finish.

Spoke to one of the organisers today and it is 90% going to happen.The lockies also seem to think it is on and all.
Suspect that loads of boats would still turn up even if it was cancelled.
Website was still not saying anything definate yesterday.
