The EA have published a detailed list, available in two parts,of all the bridge heights and profiles on the upper Medway, very useful for newbies and locals alike.More areas could do with something like this especially the Thames.

Thanks for the heads up on Medway bridges - very useful although I would have liked them to include Aylsford bridge immediately below Allington.

When on the Thames we found the following very useful:
www.the-river-thames.co.uk/bridges.htm

There are two sections contained within - a) gives general information, history etc and b) lists bridges above and below Teddington with heights etc.

We thought them very useful and they saved us the occasional hood demolition!

Very much so, its a bit like Hammersmith, a balance between water to float and air to get under. I suspect that the EA have forgotten its there, being in Medway Port territory. MP might have details.

I don't know if its of any help, this was taken about an hour before an average-ish high tide, albeit with a lot of water flowing downriver and you can see the marks on the bridge where it can come up to.
