A couple of photographs taken from Tower Bridge.
Several boats moored on the Medway took part(most of them actually) in the festival parade.
Chum was on the tug Kent seen here alongside the Belfast which loosed off several blank rounds to accompany the "music"

.....and of course no one knew it was taking place.

Update.

A very short update.
Just spoken to one of the crew on one of the tugs.
Their view of the event was not happy one.
Ranged from a police boat asking them WTF was going on as they passed Cherry Tree Pier to what
happened when all the crews finally got back (rather late) to the Hermitage moorings .
Having been promised some slap up tuck and ginger beer in appreciation for their coming all the way round from The Medway plus getting cold and knackered on the day of the event. They were really looking forward to the end of the day.
They all trooped round to a nearbye old music hall only to find all the local artists/luvvies/medja had scoffed all the tuck leaving them basically with a wasteland of the sort of stuff that always gets left and is normally dumped after the staff have helped themselves.
As many of you know that trip round is not the most enjoyable and all of the crews had to commute for several days to make sure everything on the day went smoothly, not to forget the amount of preparation that went into getting all the stuff on board during the previous weeks.
Very poor show and more just a little reminiscent of the QJF courtesy the Thames elite:(
