Not the most fantastic weekend in terms of weather or distance, but for me a very positive experience.

Sailing with Steve Birch as crew, always learn from him and gain confidence from him.

Steve went up the mast and fixed the wind instrument.....

Meeting up with Nigel, he seems to always bring bad weather. But as usual he takes our constant name calling and jokes in good spirit.

Nigel actually got some sails up on Super Anne and sorted out the reefing he inherited 8 years ago.... (Nigel, we are joking!!!! See above)

Every "Big Posh" boat I encountered on the pontoon at the Folly was skippered and crewed by nice friendly people who did not turn their noses up at our little MAB's.

The Cobra who rafted agains me in Newport were a lovely friendly lot.....

Seeing Steve and his lovely wife on Jissel, clearly a happy couple enjoying their company and their sailing.

And I even met someone who can out talk Nigel.

Thanks to all!!!

That was the worst sea state I have encountered coming out of Cowes, very lumpy! Mind you with a F6 constant Northerly is wasnt surprising! I think Chugginaround should be renamed "shoutingaround" /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Never seen SBC so quiet, he just sat there with mouth open like a dead goldfish!
