Thumbs up to the Guinness bar, who over the years have served us all well at the Earls Court Show...

But did you know, just before closing forever on the last Sunday, they held an auction at the bar, whose sole beneficiary was the RNLI, for the last 3 pints.

First one with some RNLI sweater went for approx £70

Second one with some Guinness hat went for approx £100

But the third and final pint went for an amazing £510.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic fun and good money raised for the RNLI.

But they'll be back next year - and it will still be LIBS - it just won't be Earls Court :-)

Re: The last ever LIBS pint of Guinness

apparently not as the new venue doesn't have a celler underneath, just a car park :-(

Re: The last ever LIBS pint of Guinness

The Guinness stand WILL be at Excell. The £510 pint was bought by Mik Turner of Sailing Holidays which had a whip round among staff and customers on their stand to make a donation to the RNLI.

That sounds like fraud to me.

Collected money for RNLI and the spent it all on booze :-)

only outside the show with sbs style trailers, is what they said

LIBSRAF. Time to change the Guinness?

It would be nice to see one (or more) of the better local breweries with a pitch at the new LIBS - Fullers, Youngs, Shepherd and Neame, Abbott, Adnams, etc.

Might even attract extra visitors - London International Boat Show and Real Ale Festival
