The \'Kim\' Effect

Our vigilant ( or was that vigilante) mediator is to be commended .

Having just caught up on the events of the last 3 days , and the kimmerisations and bans, apologies, misunderstandings, identity crises I obviously missed a lot. A discernible improvement in qualtity of comment. All power to Kim.

Reading on however.. how reserved everyone is with their posts. Even the venerable TCM, hlb and Byron have not written a sardonic, nay not even a witty comment between with them for 72 hrs... will this last?

On a point of order though shouldn't all 3 of the get an 'honourable Kimmerisation' for beating me up for being thick for the last year? I can't help being thick about boats and things . and i am learning..

Methinks they may return to previous behaviours quite soon..!!

Re: The \'Kim\' Effect

I must say that I'm not sure that the board needs a moderator: I myself would prefer an "extremator" who would edit various posts to make them more inflammatory, thereby making the BB far more entertaining.

Anyway, arrangements for the coming year have not yet been presented to the committee, so the decision on whether to allow Kim to continue to moderate won't be finalised for a little while yet.

The apppointment of an \'Extremator\'

That's more like it. I feel the Board resuming it's normal form and function ...let the wit flow. None of that slagging so prevalent ' At another Place' ( well they act like that sometimes ).

What an interesting thought.' Kim being sin-binnned for a year for failing to allow the appropriate rudeness and strong argument.

Who are the committee?

Re: The apppointment of an \'Extremator\'

Hmm! In the olden days it was always Kim who wound every one up. Since he's been much quieter everyone seems to get along quite well. A bit boring really. Even Titch was getting sorted out among us. With all sorts of people mucking in to help. May be Kim should be Kimerised!!/forums/images/icons/smile.gif Perhaps we should put it to the committee. All in favour vote here!!/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Re: IPC appointments procedure

1) somebody says "Kim, you know about computers and so on, don't you?..."
2) everybody else in the office runs out to make coffee, or if asleep, keeps their eys shut.
3) a little later, kim find himself in charge of the forums.

Well we appear to be having a definitive pattern emerging..Kim to the Bin...

...and no you can't just resign . You have to be booted out by TCM's unless you volunteer to moderate 'Pig Breeders Monthly' or 'Practical Conkers' or 'Grannie Gusset Manufacturing'...as penance.

Look how hurt poor hlb is, and Byron appears to have gone forever ..

Hm!! It seems he wants to leave anyway. So perhaps better keep him as a penance. Besides, cant kick him if he's not here. I think we'd better think it out again!!

My posts got pulled to. It appears one mustn't refer to the
3rd sex as b***yboys even though that wise and erudite sage Ali G uses the term frequently on TV and the fact that I make no secret of my being a Lesbian myself.

Prey tel.. a few more clues, what is a b***yboy? Is it the same as a rear-ended mEXICAN CLAIMING to save his country but really just after the birds and lolly?

I Know I'm thick.. but he can't ban you for that ! Can he? Compared to some of the inference and innuendo on this forum . Oh well, I suppose we all have guidelines....

Well that's a bit much. When my son was a babe he called them w**** w******, and noone knew where he got either word from. Probaly started to read my MBY !

So apart from the odd insult and occasional use of the vocab from the Staines Massive , what else ends up with kimmerisation...assuming he's gone home now cos he's a journo and they need to sober up before going down pub at 10 o'clock.
