The \"Johanna Lucretia\"

looks to be a 45` ish wooden fishing vessel and apparently had a complete re fit about 15 years ago. Its in gloucester docks and B.W. are trying to trace the owner before they do their worst. This was on 1.30 midlands news today. If anyone has a claim to this vessel inform B.W. before its too late.

Re: The \"Johanna Lucretia\"

Surely even BW wouldn't destroy this magnificent boat?

Re: The \"Johanna Lucretia\"

More likely auction it off, but if you were the owner and had been ill or whatever and hadnt visited her for some time you would be gutted, whether sold off or broken up. I dont know a lot about wooden boats but sure looks a nice boat. What a shame.

Re: The \"Johanna Lucretia\"

I dont really know much else about her, this was a short item on the news, and the missus had the vac going. Its been there quite a while i think and they had some footage of the re fit. All new cross beams and decks. They pumped some water out of the cabin but i dont think is was very deep, prob rain water.Perhaps a call to gloucester or b.w. may provide a bit more info.

Re: The \"Johanna Lucretia\"

Don't know about her now but met the vessel about 10-12 years ago in Antigua, had been nicknamed 'Lucretia Borgia' by some of the crew due the lady owners personality.

Re: The \"Johanna Lucretia\"

From the photo I'd say she was a danish built vessel. I know Scott Metcalf the OGA N Wales chairman has something similar he totally rebuilt. But then he's a great shipwright. (Wilma?)

Lucretia Borgia? Crew? "why the whole fun of the thing is to do it oneself!" (A Davies, Riddle of the Sands)

Re: The \"Johanna Lucretia\"

Google turned up a reference to Cutlass Classic Cutters
they were- registered at company house at 13 moot way PE283BJ. A couple of years ago there was a charles H setterfield and an edwina M wild living at that address. Can it be that difficult to track them down and pick up the thread from there?

Re: The \"Johanna Lucretia\"

No, but they'd have to find a proper investigator and be paying proper money or fees... Sadly, I'm rather busy at the moment!

Re: The \"Johanna Lucretia\"

145', the moorings would be nearly what I was paying for a flat!!

.....Mmmm that sounds quite attractive....

No, I have a project and you're just going to have to keep advising me on this one! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
