I have a power problem.That is i dont have enough for long term laptop use,and as more and more free/afordable port places are without water and power.

I found this link for a cheep system that has no hard disc uses XPe? (whatever that is) and the memory is flash memory has 4 usbs wi-fi web can 10/100Lan Incluse 60mins skypeout and has built in VOip modem /phone change the 17inch flat screen for a 10inch and the perfect on board "laptop" the size is that of a piza box

This is from 20mins online internet link in Switzerland, only problem is easyweb.com is just a rubbish site listing advertisers but on info whatsoevr about this system??????

While posting why cant there be a large PDA running a slimed XP or even full XP now cheep flash memorys hear? a 4 Giga flash should do to run the OS a plug in HHD could store data images and flash stats up at once surely uses only a fraction of the power a laptop does--and the price is afordable

Where is it who sells it?? Or is it just a joke from 20min??

running windows from a Flash card is excruciatingly slow, and a 2.5" HDD only uses 0.5amp more than the CF card

The palm one life drive PDA has a 6giga 1inch HHD! can load photos music and data and stays after crash!! Has bluetooth and wi-fi!!! Pda s have come a long way since this spring!!!!

Palm dont have changable batteries!!Ummm But for just over £200 not bad at all!!

Dells new v5 for a bit less has win 2005 what ever that is? But something to look at it has "vga out"?? for presentation what ever thats for but i think it meens a larger screen can be added!? Perhaps a protable 7inch DVD/TV player could screen the output showing the page just as it would be on a PC?? If so super portability with comfort aboard.

Now alli need is a new bluetooth GPRS phone with 1.3/2.0meg piz camera!! Takes a lot of looking at when i cant aford to buy try and throw overboard when not whats wanted!!Carrying a PDA phone and cameras just to much in summer!

With wi-fi and a skype modem i could take a "home" portable phone ashore leaving the PDA conected to skype via wi-fi the home portable use 6v at 0.5 amp or 12v at 1 amp both would work aboard!

What do you think?? small boat economy comms!
