the have\'s and have yachts

I guess with all these big city bonuses this year there will be a lots of money around for the boating industry next season. When these bankers get down to the LBC they wont be worried about losing the derogation, (or even the odd 40 footer on the rocks!).
But will this have the same effect on marina/mooring prices on the south coast as it has on London property prices? How many more plastic mobos sat on pontoons for 360 days a year going nowhere?

Spending bonus on a sailing boat

ahem, but the most recent and very public city bonus-wallah bought that 40 footer sloop summink and bashed it up the rocks with his bird on the wheel.

I reckon this is pretty typical of raggies myself, who fondly imagine that because they have a fab and phallic boat with giant wheel steering the wimmin will be falling over themselves to come on board and make mad passionate cups of tea.

Unfortunately, the chap himself ended up making the cups of tea (the reports said he was busy with the nav but i think we're all knowledgeable enuf enough to read between the lines - he was making tea) and the girl whacked the boat on the rocks whilst he was looking for the sugar or washing the cups.

Re: oh no sir - they buy ragboats

and his friend was reported as saying that the insurance have refused to pay out as he took irrsponsible actions. To which he has said oh well its only a bit of my bonus I can always buy another!!!

City bonus

The big problem with City Bonuses is you have to be in a city to get them. Sod that! I'm happy in the sticks - mind you I'd prefer to be a bit closer to my boat than the current 100miles

But a city, never!!!

Re: the have\'s and have yachts

I am happy for you guys to take the heat in marina pricing due to lots of city bonuses needing berths, mostly on the South Coast.

Besides, it produces a ready stream of lightly used 3-4 year old boats at stable prices. Dont see the bargain hunters moaning about that.

There\'s No F in Bonfus

As a naive 18yr old asking the foreman about the prospect of a bonus at the end of the job,I was answered with ''you'll get a bonfus''...''Ah but there's no F in Bonus''replied I,to which came the punch line''EXACTLY''
