So!! Last night we went to ride the big wheel in Manchester, 200’ high and £20 for four. Four times round the loop and get off it’s somebody else’s turn. Enough said.
Now here’s the point, we decided to go and get a drink, well,…….. it‘s a traumatic experience riding the fair ground.
The British are a hardy breed we know, good grief some of us actually sail in the winter and in these enlightened times we can be very cosmopolitan but there is a limit.
There was dozens of people sitting outside the pub under umbrellas drinking beer./forums/images/icons/shocked.gif I love this on a warm sunny day but yea Gods it was December the 15th, somebody needs to tell these people to get inside and sit by the fire and worry about the beer getting warm……….. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Me too, I don't feel the cold, think I will be dead at 60 cos I didn't realise I should have had the heating on.

My christmas do tomorrow night, no doubt we will be sat outside somewhere in Liverpool.

Best people in the world come from Hampshire too! Mind you I think you could be right about Blair, if some far eastern country gets flooded by sea in the monsoon season he will probably end up giving them Portsmouth or Brighton. After all they would want to be re-settled the sea to feel at home!
